Does Melmet 500 For Fasting Sugar 109 Mean I'm Diabetic ?

Hi doctor , I am given Melmet 500 when my sugar levels are fasting 109 and random varies between 210 to 240. I am 55 yrs weight 76kg height 5 1 . Do they really mean that I have Diabetes . Please advice. And once sugar medicine is taken can I stop using it. Thank you in Advance.

Read your prob, your sugur leval shows you have been suffering from diabetes. as your random sugur leval is high so you should start some other hypoglycemic drug as per advise of your doc. you can stop these drug but ruduse dose n number of drugs by controlling your diet n by starting morning. so avoid carbohydrate riched diet.

Your random blood sugar is more than 200 you have diabetes. Tab melmet that is metformin is very good medicine you have to continue anti diabetes tablets once you diagnosed diabetes. Apart from that you should change your lifestyle like eat healthy food diabetic diet. Do regular exercise. And conult some diabetologist. Don't worry take care
