Hello dear Understand your concern Most common cause of delayed period in absence of pregnancy is hormonal imbalance. So period can be induced by progesterone tablet (meprate). It help in promoting the growth of endometrium and when you stop the tablet, withdrawal bleeding will occur. Other below causes of delayed period should be rule out by consulting the gynecologist: Ovarian cyct/PCOS, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, thyroid disorder.
