Does Metamucil Cause Vomiting And Fever With Abdomen Pain?

I took metamuci .5 days ago,,that night at 10:00pm I woke up vomiting and continue til 8:30 a.m. next 3 days real pain in adoman..4th day still pain then waterey stools....this a.m took alka seltzer and pain is finally gone but lots of stomach noise...is metamuncil safe to take? was close to calling ambulance.during vomiting a high fever and heart ponding along with pain,

Hello,
Metamucil should not cause this problem. It sounds like you have an infection or an obstruction. You need to see a doctor as soon as possible to find the cause.
Metamucil can cause blockages if you do not take it with at least 8 oz of water. It must be taken with lots of water and usually only once a day is best. If it is taken this way it should be safe.
