Hello and thank you for asking HCM.
Nicotine (doesn't matter if taken with cigarettes or with gums)can cause
vasoconstriction and worsen blood circulation. As a result, leads to the built-up of venous stasis in the
rectum or anus and thereby the occurrence and deterioration of hemorrhoids. So, for people who suffer from hemorrhoids it is a good idea to minimize the amount of nicotine they take with gums/cigarettes. Also alcohol especially red wine have the same impact in hemorrhoids as nicotine.
I suggest as following:
-Reduce the amount of gum that you take each day.
-Reduce the amount of alcohol especially red wine.
-Try using kiwi and having a healthy diet with fresh fruits and vegetables, and food with a good amount of fibers. A high-fiber diet results in a large, soft, bulky stool that passes through the
colon easily and quickly. A softer, larger stool helps prevent straining, which can help avoid or relieve hemorrhoidal symptoms.
If your symptoms persist, than i suggest you check up with a
proctologist.
