Does Petogen Cause Excessive Vaginal Bleeding?

Hi i recently started taking Petogen - Fresenius my period came when it was supposed to but it is not heavy at all, infact its a light flow i feel the aches i would normally feel during a normal period. Although, i am worried my bleeding won t stop, i have read on a lot of forums that you have continuous bleeding on this injection - is it true? Will it ever stop? And if it doesn t stop should i skip my next injection? Im Nervous because if it doesn t stop it will affect my day to day life.

Hi,

If the spotting occurs even when you do not have intercourse, then it could be related to the Petogen. 80% of women on Petogen have no periods. The remainder may have irregular spotting or regular monthly periods. Of course some other causes may be considered such as PCOS is one of the causes of hormonal imbalance. If you have heavier bleeding in between periods, it’s important to see your doctor for testing, diagnosis, and treatment options.

Other potential other causes of bleeding between periods include a growth in the uterus or cervix, stress, change in medications, miscarriage, vaginal dryness. Your doctor will also likely give you a physical exam, including a pelvic exam. Diagnostic tests can help your doctor find the cause of the bleeding. Your doctor may draw blood to check hormone levels.
