Hi , I’m am 39 years old. I’m goin for an Ivf this month. The doctor has given me primolute N to postpone my periods for 12 days as he is not available. Will this affect the number of follicles during the stimulation for ivf..??? Or the egg quality?? Thanks in advance

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hello,
You have been given Primolut N for postponing your Mendes. You would get bleeding after finishing the pills and you would be given medicines for ovulation after that.
So, Primolut effect is already out of your system with bleeding and it is not likely to affect ovulation stimulation in next periods.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale
