Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had Propofol two or three times for the removal of kidney stones. Each time following the surgery for about a week, I have horrible night sweats. Enough that I have to have dry sheets. I can actually see salt marks on my sheets. Could this in any way be related to the anesthesia?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Propofol doesn’t cause any night sweats or excessive sweating. It doesn’t seem to be related to anaesthesia. You can try bathing before going to bed. If the problem persist, better to consult a physician and get evaluated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
