Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband currently takes Simbacort and Spiriva..he also is having allergy symptoms and has been taking allergy meds. he is feeling poorly dizzy and a heart rate of 95.. can this be considered a drug interaction or too much medication ?? Please advise.
The above-mentioned medications are from different drug classes and they are used for the treatment of COPD, Asthma etc. It is to be noted that there are no known interactions between these two medications.
However, if your husband takes other medications (cardiovascular medications), you should consult with his doctor in order to evaluate the doses and also, if you are able, besides measuring his heart rate, take a blood pressure measurement when he is feeling dizzy, in order to provide better information for your visit to the doctor's office.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Aleksandar Dimovski,
General & Family Physician
