Does Valtrex Affect The Vision?
I took valtrex for shingles and I am having problems with my left eye..the shingles were on my right side along my jaw and ear. Still have pain. Could the valtrex have effected my vision? I have had surgeries in the left eye for a retina pucker cataract and a tube and reservoir for glaucoma which is now under control

It is quite unlikely that Valtrex could have affected the vision of the left eye. There could be a possibility of simultaneous inflammation going on in the left eye and needs to be examined by an ophthalmologist and treated. And for the pain of shingles, you could take PreGabalin orally before bedtime for neuropathic pain over right side face or apply topical capsaicin or gabapentin cream. Taking vitamin C supplements could help to heal.
