Should I Be Concerned As I Am Feeling Little Sedated After The Usage Of Valtrex?

Yes, I am currently taking Valtrex (for on oral herpes outbreak). I took an antacid this morning--tagamet with my valtrex dose (an hour or so ago). My family commented saying I was "acting drugged". I feel slightly sluggish, a little sedated, & just a bit foggy (not clear headed). I looked up the interactions of valtrex & cimetidine actually is one. Could my symptoms be caused by this interaction? Is this serious? How long until this begins to wear off?

hi, these are common symptoms of tagamet (cimetidine). you need not be concerned. They will fade away once you stop those drugs after the full course.
The interaction is not a serious issue as it effects the drug metabolism, but do not increase the risk of adverse effects.
Remain happy. All the best.
