Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was on the vivelle dot patch for several years for Menopause. I had to stop it for a back surgery I had. I have restarted it after 7 weeks and I am having a lot of nausea with it. I am on other meds from my surgery, but the nausea has been under control. Is this a side effect of the patch?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Since you have been on the patch for many years it is highly unlikely that it is the reason for nausea now. The different medications you are in currently following surgery can cause nausea. Drink plenty of fluids, stick to bland diet and avoid fatty, greasy and spicy food.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
