Does A Cyst/tumor In Ovary Affect Menstrual Periods?

I went to my gynecologist last month and since then I have yet to have a period and I m not pregnant as I ve taken two test and they have come out negative. But my back story is I have always had problems since I started menstrual periods at 10 years old (so I have had my period now for 17 years). I have three beautiful children when my doctor told me I would never beable to have any kids as I have endometetoris and dysplasia. I had my tubes tied four years ago after the birth of my last kid. I went in for a ultrasound at the beginning of the month and they found either a tumor or cyst on my left ovary. I am in constant pain each and everyday in my abdomen and lower back. I have a weird fluttering feeling in my lower abdomen along with charges in how often I need to urinate and also with my bowel movements. My libido has decreased since it is painful during intercourse. So my question is could a cyst or tumor stop menstrual periods?
