Does A Pineapple Piece Stuck In The Epiglottis Require Attention?
I have a small piece of pineapple stuck on my epiglottis. This happened two hours ago and my airway is open. Will I need an endoscopic exam or is there another way to remove the foreign object? Is there any chance this will resolve without intervention?
Yes it requires immediate attention as foreign bodies may cause a lot of reaction and swelling and this may block your airway. Please dont try to remove it yourself and meet your ent doctor immediately. he will examine your throat with an endoscope and remove it. please dont delay. Thanks
