Does A Positive HPT With Bleeding And Pain Suggest Tubal Pregnancy?

I had a tubal pregnancy in Dec , had lots of pain with it and had the chemo shots to clean out, now I took a home pregnancy test showed [positive , but it would only be 10 days along, I started bleeding today with lots of pain, but I have not missed a period yet, would it be a tubal again or is it not far enough along to do that? Could it just be a ordinary period , and Im just panicking,?

HPT, could be false positive till some period after an abortion, whether it is spontaneous or surgical. As in HPT, positive test denotes the presence of a minimum level of HCG in the urine. It may take some time for this level of HCG, to come to such a low level, where it can not be detected in urine and hence giving a negative result.

This period may be some days or a few weeks, depending on the duration of pregnancy, may be up to 5-8 weeks after abortion. Hence an HPT, should be considered true positive at least after 2 months of abortion. Also, if we want to confirm/rule out pregnancy, before this period, then HCG levels in the blood in two tests, at least taken one week apart may be taken for consideration. If these two tests are showing an increasing trend of HCG level in blood, then you may be pregnant. A decreasing level of HCG will show absence of pregnancy.

Need HCG test and USG! Both these tests and a gynecologist's opinion can rule this out! You must take a gynecologist's opinion with these tests.
