Does Amoxycillin And Potassium Clavulanate Help To Cure Burn?
sir, my 4 year son got burn on elbow with hot oil. i have applied silver sulfadiazine and chlorhexidine gluconate cream and oral suspension IP of amoxycillin and potassium clavulanate after consulting a local general physician. please suggest me your opinion as soon as possible at my e mail id : YYYY@YYYY

No this combination doesn't help in curing the burns.
This is used in burn patients to either treat or to prevent secondary bacterial infection.
Silver Sulfadiazine cream is used locally and is very helpful, if the wound is very unhealthy or the burn is on big area then we add antibiotics like Augmentin for this purpose, but as such they don't help in wound healing.

I really appreciate your concern looking to the history given here I could say that, Amoxicillin and clavulanic acid is antibiotic and would clear the infection if the wound is infected otherwise it has got no role in healing process, actually healing does not need any medicine take care and have a nice day.
