I am male,64 y.o, 179 lbs. Received a real time sonographic imaging of the right upper quadrant - findings were; liver normal echogenicity with no evidence of masses. There is no intra or extrahepatic ductal dilatation. Common bile duct measures 2 mm. no evidence of cholelithiasis, gallbladder wall thickening, or pericholecystic fluid. Pancreas is mostly obscured. Rt kidney measures 11.5 cm and is normal in echogenicity with no evidence of shadowing calculi, masses or hydronephrosis. There is a 3 mm echogenic focus of doubtful significance - no evidence of cholelithiasis per the report findings. My question is, is this a benign diagnosis, should I ask my doctor to perform a CT scan to confirm? or not be concerned. Thank you.
