Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi doctor I had sexual intecourse today and while me and my partner were doing it doggie style , he accidentally inserted his penis in my butt. Besides hurting my soul im worried about the blinding that came after I examined my self and I noticed some tear around my anus. Should I be worried about possible infections or even a disease? Should visit my doctor for this issue? Can I treated my self and how ?
Anal intercourse will not cause infection as such. However, it can cause mucosal injury in the form of abrasions or tear. It would take some time to heal.
Take a sitz bath. Keep the area under proper hygiene. Use laxatives to prevent constipation and avoid staining while passing stools.
You can apply lignocaine ointment over the affected area at bedtime. Gradually, it should heal and you should be back to normal.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Ashakiran S, General & Family Physician
