Hi,I'm just wondering if aspirin can raise my white blood cell count?I'm 22,female with a pain in my right lower side for the last 6 days,I have been to hospital where they did and ultrasound but couldn't locate my appendix. My WBC came back fine.I have to go back in today and I have been taking aspirin for pain. Can this affect my tests?
your white blood cells (WBC) are more likely to be affected by the painful situation. Aspirin won't affect them. Any inflammatory situation and every kind of stress may result in WBC level elevation. Even pain may cause increased WBC. So if you feel pain, you don't need to suffer. You can take the painkiller. I hope I've helped! If you need more information, please ask and I'll be glad to help more.
