Does Atarax Cause Side Effects?
The doctor had tried steroids to stop my hives rash which have for seven weeks ,which did not work. This is the first time that i have had hives. Now i am on atarax has kept the itching down but have gained weight which i do not like i have been on them for 7 days - can i come off them?

As you are on atarax and experience weight gain . There are some side effect like nausea ,vomiting , headache , nervousness ,weight gain ,increase appetite ,diarrhea , abdominal pain etc.
This side effect will reverse when you stop medicine.
So don't worry about it.
If you feel gain in weight than do some exercise for this.
