General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to side-effects of Mirena. Mirena can cause a few symptoms that look a lot like menopause, including mood swings and irregular periods.

As your estrogen level naturally drops, you can still expect to have menopause symptoms like hot flashes, trouble sleeping, and flushed skin.

If the symptoms continue you should consult a gynaecologist for further evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
