Does Bumps At The Tip Of Nose Indicate Rhinophyma?
Hi i m a 31 year old female who 5 weeks ago was diagnosed with mild roscaea on my nose i have been taking antibiotics and can see some improvement but worried about rhinophyma although i have seen a dermatologist in my area who said it nis not rhinophyma and won t end up like that but really worried cos what i read on the internet some of the symptoms are the same as i have ie have 2 bumps under the skin that seem to be getting bigger at the tip of my nose and my nose seems larger the before i was diagnosed is this a rhinoophyma? Really concerned thankyou.
Rhinophyma is a risk for fair skinned people and people who have a family history of rosacea. Rhinophyma is characterized by red, blotchy areas in the center of your face or recurrent bumps and pimples, often mistaken for acne. Not necessarily the bumps in the nose may be rhinophyma.
Rhinophyma often causes the connective tissue and oil glands on the nose to increase. there may be gradual growth of the nose into a swollen, bulbous shape. Get a follow up clinical examination done by a dermatologist. Get diagnosed and treated. Neglect may cause worsening of the symptoms. You will be given conservative treatment or recommended surgery if required.
