Hi Dear,
Welcome to HCM.
Understanding your concern.
Thanks for your query . There are two possibilities for
sore throat after tooth filling .
- First , the debris detach from tooth grinding containing bacteria went into throat got stick there and irritate mucosa .
- secondly , due to mercury
poisoning if your tooth has been restore with amalgam filling . Mercury poisoning occur in few people when they get mercury ingested accidentally.
I would suggest you to do warm saline gargles several times a day and wait for 1 or 2days if you don't have amalgam or silver filling and take
ibuprofen for reducing pain and inflammation .
I case you have silver filling then start taking protein diet more because it will help in
flushing out heavy metal like mercury from your body and start
multivitamin supplement .
If condition still persist then consult doctor/
dentist for proper examination. Dentist may extract silver filling and restore tooth with other filling like composite .Doctor may prescribe medicine having chelating effect to detoxify your body and
vitamin C .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
