Does Cervical Spondylosis Cause Palpitation?

How does cervical spondylosis affect heart patient? The patient is 46 years old, male. He has undergone open heart surgery a few years ago. Recently he was suffering from pain in the neck and the chests. The X-ray showed that he has cervical spondylosis (C 5-6). But he also suffers from rapid breathing and palpitation even when walking up a flight of stairs (It wasn t so before). Can this be the result of the cervical spondylosis or is it due to the heart?

Hi,
welcome to you on this forum.
many pts feel palpitation during acute cervical spondylosis, so this is not uncommon.though you should consult a cardiologist also.

spondylosis is a condition in which the vertebral body get degenerated it can cause some radiating pain or numbness only any way not at all related to heart or palpitation
you as early as possible consult the cardiologist and check well abt the heart functioning
