Does Change In Medication Cause Itching And Headache?

I have used oxazepam 1/4 10 mg and doxepine 1/4 10 mg for about 2 years witu melatonin. It was ok for me with leas side effects. Not my doctor changed dozepine and oxazepam to zopiclone 7,5! I have started Opiclone 5 ( because it wasnt in reach to have 7,4) for almost 2 weeks! I hade headache and alittle itchy Im secomd week i feel for itchy when i haveit i dont know ots because of stop useimg my old medicines that i used for 2 years! Or this is the new pills! My doctor in unreashable now and i dont know what to do! Thanks

Hello,

Zopiclone in itself is not the cause of your new symptoms, it doesn't cause such side effects. I would say that it is much more likely to be due to interrupting the previous medication, given the prolonged period you took them it may happen. There is not a perfect solution, the only thing is to try and wean as slowly as possible, perhaps in your case not to interrupt both drugs at once but only Oxazepam first and at a later time Doxepine.
