Does Child Have Thrush If He Has Orange Stripes On Tongue Despite Taking Nystatin?
My 1 year old son had what originally was thought to be thrush. He was given nystatin to treat it but after 2 weeks its still there but more of a orangish yellow color and looks like two stripes down the middle of his his tongue. It doesn't see to bother him but im just curious as to what it could be. Thrush that just hasnt gone away? Color from what hes drinking? Its constantly there though and in the same spot.

Babies who survive mostly on milk will have a white or brownish white patch over the middle of the tongue normally.
As the milk consumption is reduced and replaced by other foods it will gradually vanish.
There is nothing to worry.
