Does Chills Cause Ear Pain And Sore Throat Even After Taking Medication?

I have had chills and am taking over the counter advil and tylenol for three days now. My lack of energy is gradually returning, but I am still feeling warm and continue to have an inner ear pain and some soreness of the throat in the back side where the ear is hurting. I especially notice the pain if I lean forward or over. No dizziness. Is it just a virus?

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.
The way you describe it seems to be an viral infection of upper respiratory tract.
In this case ear ache,sore throat,fever,cough are common symptoms.
Usually it is a self-limiting condition that can last up to 1-2 week.

You don't need to worry.
No specific treatment is needed.
You can keep taking Ibuprofen or Tylenol for fever and pain.Need to rest,eat healthy food most green vegetables,drink plenty of fluids.
You will feel better day after day.

If the symptoms get worse,the ear pain get stronger with discharge,high temperature that appears after a period without it,and white spots appear in throat I suggest to consult a physician and get examine because an secondary bacterial infection can follow this viral infection.In this case you need to take a course of antibiotic.
