Does Cold Cause Enlargement Of Thyroglossal Cyst And Should It Be Removed During Pregnancy?

my daughter is three months pregnant. She has been fighting a cold and has a lump in her neck. She went to a clinic yesterday a nd the dr diagnosed it as a thyroglossal cyst t hat she probably had since birth. She had this swelling once before but then it went away. Could being sick have caused this cyst ?to enlarge? She s a wreck. Should it be removed during the pregnancy

Just ask her to take a full course of antibiotic and avoid removal of cyst if possible but in case it recurrs then its safe to operate in 4-5rh month of pregnancy.
