Does Continuous Coughing Need Hospital Intervention?

my son is 3 1/2 yrs old. He is suffering from severe cough. i have given him 2 doses of the syrup Hicet (cetrizine) and a syrup Allerbay from morning. He had a slight temperature so I gave him a dose of paracetamol at around 11p.m and also nebulised him with a bedesol repsule. It is 3 a.m and he is continuously coughing and wheezing. Can I nebulise him again or should i take him to a hospital

Hi

Welcome to HealthcareMagic forum

Your son seems to be having a Lower Respiratory Tract Infection. I would suggest you to nebulize him now and take him to ER at the earliest. Avoid giving any cough suppresants and cetrizine syrup. These will actually worsen the condition.
