Does Delayed Contraceptive Pill Aggravate The Chances Of Pregnancy?
Hi. I am on Cerazette and have been for over 18 months. I am in a committed relationship and have had intercourse with my boyfriend. On that night however, I did not have my pill with me, and so took it as soon as I had it with me, which was around 9 hours after I usually take it. Will I still be protected from pregnancy? I have done this before and have had no problems, but would like to make sure.
You have taken Cerazette after 9 hours of usual time so there is nothing to worry about pregnancy. You will be protected from pregnancy. You may need to take extra contraceptive precautions in certain situations. These situations include missing a dose by more than 12 hours or vomiting within three to four hours of taking Cerazette.
