Does Delivering Vaginally Have Any Complications?

At 36.5 weeks pregnant my placenta is 0.8cm from my cervix. My Dr feels comfortable trying to deliver vaginally or electing a C-section but I m wondering what you recommend of your patients and what complications/risks I could run into with a vaginal delivery.

Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, it's better to have a vaginal delivery with epidural anaesthesia to avoid pain; though it can cause prolonged labour.

But all the preferences should be discussed with your primary gynaecologist and whose decision should be final keeping in view all the recent scans and skeletal review to avoid any obstruction during labour.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
