Does Dilation Of Pupils Cause Dizziness And Nausea?
Hi I had an eye exam yesterday with an Opthalmologist who dilated my eyes as part of her examination. this morning I awoke with a feeling of nausea and severe dizziness. This lasted for a while. Can the dilation of my pupils cause this after effect dizziness. What should I do?
Hello, I had gone through your query and understand your concern.
Your symptoms are due to the drug which is used to dilate your pupil. These drugs are known to cause dizziness, headache, nausea, rised heartbeat when get absorbed into blood. Usually these symptoms will go away after some time when the effect of drug reduces. However, if your symptoms are severe, I advice you to get emergency help as soon as possible.
Hope this helps.
If you have any other queries, feel free to ask.
Regards, Dr.Prathap Kumar
