Does Easy Bruising Indicate An Underlying Medical Problem?

Hi, well ever since I could remember I would bruise easily. Now that I am 20 years and more careful I don't run into things so easily, but I still notice I always have so many bruises. Today I was fixing my hair in the mirror when I got a sharp pain in my right inner elbow (where an IV) would be placed. I began to look in the mirror at my right arm and saw i had two dark purple black and blue marks on the outter side of my elbow. It worried me for the fact I didnt remember hitting the arm and just yesterday at work I had that same sharp pain in my left elbow. Most of my bruises however appear on my calfs and on the upper part of my arms. Although, over the last few months I have noticed to see them spread to others areas as well. I was just wonder If I should be considered and how to bring this to my doctors attention. I am 5 foot tall and weight 113 pounds. I was in a car accident back in Nov. of 08 and had severe whiplash. Six months later May 09 I began having blacking out or passing out spells. I was placed on Topamax for almost two years and then just as of May 2011 I got switched to Zonegran. Along with that on the sign of a migraine coming I take Imitrex
