Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have severe ache in pelvis and down both legs. I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia but wondering if something else could cause these symptoms. Have to take pain killers daily for 2-3 years now and would live to find a cure so that I don t have to depend on pain killers. Had cervix frozen, then hysterectomy due to rumors in uterus 10 years ago
Hello. If you have joint and muscle pain over all body and additional tests are normal (rheumatic tests, bone scan .....), Fibromyalgia is likely diagnosis. The patient suffering from Fibromyalgia need to take painkillers lifetime. Other effective treatments are the practice of moderate physical exercise. I wish you good health.
