Does Gastroenteritis Cause Neurological Disorder?

Can neurological problem came from gastro problem ? I have some neurological issues like cramps and suddenly feel pain in chest and back for 1-2 week. When I sit on chair sometimes I can't stand up straight that time it takes few seconds to stand. But I noticed that when that types of problem I faced I also had gastro problem. So gastro problem may b the main issue I think. Is my thinking is true?

Hi,

You have not mentioned what sort of gastric problem you have. But on broader consideration one cannot easily link gastric problem with neurological problem. Your problem regarding cramps and chest pain are not neurological, they are normal to an individual and can be easily treated by drinking oral electrolytes and lot of fluids.

Chest pain without other symptoms like fever, breathlessness, palpitations can be just myalgia or muscle pain due to fatigue. Hence you shouldn't worry much. You have mentioned that you have difficulty in standing up, for this you need to have regular exercises and regular intake of milk and other calcium containing diet.
