Does Gastroparesis Cause Pain Under Ribs And Back Pain?
I have gastroparesis, do you have pain under your ribs including your back when it acts up? I haven t been diagnosed long so I wasn t sure. It s like Harding or something like concrete set up when I turn over at night. I m not sure if it s muscles or what because if I flux myself I can really feel the discomfort. Thank you... Vickie
In my opinion, get physically examined by a GP. Get done X-ray chest, CT, MRI to rule out any injury. To avoid worsening of pain in costochondritis, avoid doing unnecessary exercise.
Take antacids & NSAIDS when required. Infectious Costochondritis will require to be treated with antibiotics (oral or intravenous) depending upon the severity of the pain.
Gastroparesis can cause acid reflux & symptoms of GERD. Take small meals 4-5 times a day. Avoid junk, packaged food. Stay away from addictions if any.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
