Does Heating Pads Or Ice Packs Work Better For Swollen Lymph Nodes?
Hi, I have swollen lymph nodes in my neck. It is due to a sore throat. Last night I applied heat to the lymph nodes thinking that the increased blood flow would speed up healing, but today, my dad said that I should be icing my neck instead of applying heat. Which or correct, or should I do neighter? Also, I am taking an antiobiotic. My whole neck from my ear to my collar born hurts, and I have a lot of swollen lymph nodes along that one side of my neck--the left side. Thanks
hello, thanks for your query, neither hot nor cold will work for lymphnode enlargement.series of lymphnodes could be due to tuberculosis, ent infections. secondary to cancers from ent or cancer itself(lymphoma), fine needle aspiration cytology( fnac ) gives d disease details of lymph node. simple sore throat with series of lymphnodes is unlikely. kindly visit an ent surgeon. all the best. take care.
