Does Inhaler Help To Expectorate Mucous After Being Diagnosed With Encapsulated Tumor With Tuberculosis In Lung ?

how do you use an inhaler to produce a productive cough. I recently had a surgical biopsy of my right lung and was found to have an encapsulated tumor with tuberculosis. I am being tested at this time and was told that if I could not expectorate mucous, an inhaler would help.

Hi,
inhaler actually dilate the bronchus and bronchiole to some degree and then it loosen the cough which is then easily expectorated out , inhaler containing steroids also reduces the inflammation and swelling of respiratory tract.
as you have been diagnosed as lung tumour with tuberculosis so i think you should go to a cancer centre for its proper management and you should also start anti tubercular treatment according to your Tuberculosis category.
wish you all the best.
