Does Intake Of Ciprofloxacin Cause Pain In Left Heel?
I have been experiencing tendinitis in my right Achilles tendon literally for 2 years due I think to taking one dose of Cipro. Now I m experiencing pain in my left heel. I m wondering if taking Cipro in Oct. 2014 could be the cause of my on-going pain in my right tendon and also now causing the pain in my left heel which sometimes feels suspiciously similar to the pain in my right Achilles.
Ciprofoxacin intake can sometimes cause tendinitis as it has happened in your case in the right leg. Chances are little that the pain in the left heel years latter are due to this though.
I would say you will need to see your doctor and rule out other causes of heel pain, especially plantar fasciitis as this is quite a common cause of pain in the area and is treatable.
I hope this answers your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,.
