Does Intake Of Pregnacare Cause Irregular Periods?
Hiya. I ve been taking pregnacare for 2 months now. First month, I used it inconsistently & the second month consistently. I noticed in the last 2 months, my period has been irregular which never happens. I have a regular 28 days cycle. Could this be a result of using pregnacare? I read online where other women had maintain the same experience
Yes, pregnacare can cause abnormal bleeding, as most of birth control pills. Most of these oils have hormones which affects and change the normal regulation of hormone which in turn control monthly blood control. This will make the endometrial to have abnormal cycles of blood flow. It will be important to check female hormonal profile. Stop the pill and use another contraceptive and consult your gynecologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Mutuma Geoffrey Zambezi
