Does Intake Of Both Topamax And Ritalin Lead To Chronic Migraine?
I am on topamax 25mg twice a day for week and then will bump it up to 2 tablets twice a day after a week. ( I ran out my meds and had to wait to get them filled so I wanted to easy back into the full does) I am also on ritalin 10mg twice a day (which I started today) finally I am on 10mg inspiring one in the evening for a week and I move to one in the morning and one in the evening after a week. ( I just started this medicine last night) I woke up with a horrible mirgiran could these meds combo cause it
Interaction of these both are not well studied but these both together moreover does not increase or decrease each other effect but insomnia via Ritalin can be mistaken for migraine. Are you able to sleep that night? Why is Ritalin prescribed to you? It has only few indications. Otherwise, your treating doctor can replace it with other as these can’t be prescribed needs offline OPD basis only.
Breathing exercises also helps in diseases which needs these meds. Sleep and healthy life style are helpful.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Sunny Madar, General & Family Physician
