Does Intercourse Before PSA Exam Cause Elevated PSA Levels?
YYYY@YYYY White male , 63 years of age I had a PSA exam on Monday of this week , results are a 6.09 . My Doctor wanted to check my PSA after I received my first shot of Testosterone [ levels are 225 ] which I also received on Monday . My Doctor has set up appointment with a urologist . In doing some online research I have found that ejaculation 72 to 24 hours before a PSA test can raise PSA levels . I ejaculated the three days before the test and 8 hours before the day of the test . Could the sex contribute to a rise in PSA levels
