Does Knee Pain And Swelling, Leading To Limping, Indicate A Meniscus Tear?

My knee pain/swelling is inconsistent - but lately it has become more contstant - it can wake me up at night now. At first the joint would actually clunk back into place and then feel better for a number of days but now it hurts to bend all the time and I end up with a bit of a limp. Do you think that this is a Meniscus tear and would you recommend an MRI?

Do get an MRI done to look for any soft tissue injury, which could be the case considering ur symptoms.
