Hello!
Welcome on HCM!
I passed carefully through your concern and would explain that physical inactivity, especially prolonged passive conditions may lead to physical (muscular) deconditioning and vascular reflexes bunting.
However, despite the consequences of physical inactivity, when considering possible causes of increases
heart rate it is necessary a careful investigation of other alternative causes, such as anemia, acute inflammation/infection,
thyroid dysfunction,
dehydration, blood electrolytes imbalance,
anxiety, etc.
Coming to this point I recommend discussing with your doctor on the opportunity of performing a medical checkup, including several lab tests:
-
complete blood count,
- thyroid hormones level,
- blood electrolytes level,
- PCR & ESR,
- liver and renal function tests,
- fasting blood glucose level
Meanwhile, I strongly encourage you to engage in frequent daily physical activity and outside walking.
Hope you will find this answer helpful!
Kind regards,
Dr. Iliri
