Does Loratidine And Phenhydramine Affect The Results Of A Medical Check Up?
I am currently on loratadine and phenhydramine medication to treat my minor flu and cough. At the same time, I am expected to have a medical check up for my student visa application within two days. Will these drugs affect the results? And also how long should I avoid taking them before my check up? Thank you.
Loratadine and Phenhydramine except their positive effect, cause a lot of side effects and this is the reason why these medicines affects the check up result. Side effects of these medicines are: - Sedation. - Psychomotor retardation. - Urinary retention. - Dry mouth. - Blurred vision. - Gastrointestinal disturbances.
These side effects will change check up result, so you should quit Loratadine and Phenydramine.
You should go for a medical check up two days after you quit these medicines.
I hope you find this helpful.
All the best. Dr. Behar.
