Does Low Blood Pressure And Under Active Thyroid Cause Pulse Throbbing At The Top Of Head?

I can feel my pulse throbbing at the top of my head. It s not painful but the sensation is almost the same as what it feels like after a rigorous work out, but I am not doing any form of exercise or cardiovascular activity to cause it. Recently it has become more noticeable and happens more often. I have low blood pressure and under active thyroid. Should I be worried?

Hi and welcome to HCM. Non painfull Pulsations in head could be idiopathic that is no causes may be found, but hypothyroidism could be a cause for these pulsations. Some vascular malformations can also cause these pulsations. I suggest u to consult a Physician if it is very bothersome to you for proper evaluation. Mean time continue your regular thyroid medications. Regards.
