Melatonin is a hormone released from
pineal gland and helps in regulation of sleep. It is particularly helpful in sleep disorders such as jet lag, shift work sleep disorder, etc.
So, if your daughter has sleep disorder, taking melatonin would help, otherwise, I am not sure whether it would be helpful or not.
