Does Microgynon Pill Cause Diarrhea And Stomach Cramps?
I have had diarrohea and stomach cramps for years now.i have been now on gluten free dairy free and wheat free diet for 2 weeks but still have diarrohea.could it be caused by the microgynon pill.i have been on this for 10 years and now 29.my stomach has been bad for years but yhinkin the pill could be making it worse.should I stop taking it immediately.if so what contraceptive wud be ok.
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history About taking Micrgynon for 10 years and now you are 29. Also have cramps and diarrhea for a year, hence may be least related to the pills. Please consult your Gynecologist for proper advise. As for cramps and diarrhea, please get the following investigations done. Tests of stool for 3 consecutive days. Tests of blood: CBC, thyroid, liver function tests. Colonoscopy. CT scan of abdomen. Clinical evaluation by a Gastroenterologist. If positive finding is present, get treated accordingly. If all the investigation are normal get treated on the lines of IBS that is irritable bowel syndrome.
