Does Misoprostol Help In Terminating Pregnancy?

Just found out that I'm pregnant as I missed my period and completed a pregnancy test, I went to a gynecologist and she advised me to take MT Misoprostol once a day and then again after 24 hours. does this work an dhow can I find out it's actually working and if there are any side-effects?

Abortion kits are very effective when used in small pregnancy.
It have many side effects like ;
bleeding
retained products of conception
infection ect.
But being carefully by doing a TVS after you have aborted ,you can be calm.
