Does Montelukast Cause Agitation And Psychiatric Symptoms?

Hi my son has been taking MONTELUKAST chewable tablets for over a year now (asthma sufferer) and over the last 2months has been really agitated and having vivid dreams. I have had him to the doctors today to explain this. He also feels the need to apologise all of the time to random objects such as furniture etc... and we thought this was the signs of an OCD but after looking into the symptoms and side effetcs of the MONTELUKAST I am not so sure. Our doctor has reffered us to a child psyciatrist to see what support they can offer. Do you think this is the best course of action and do you think I should stop giving him the drug? You can try to stop it and change it to Seretide.Children with asthma seriously affect the health of children, we recommend that you use the method of Chinese medicine to treat, through the right remedy, and do routine care, to obtain a good therapeutic effect.
