Does Negative Result From Blood Test Mean Being Free From All STDs?
hello I have a concern about STDs. I m completely paranoia about them. I have a new girlfriend so I got tested and I m clean. She now had a blood test and asked tot test it for all STDs. Let s say the results are all negative, is it safe to have unprotected sex then? (she takes the pill so pregnancy is not really an isue). Or should she do more tests than just a blood test? (like urine test or something?) My girlfriend is a bit mad because she did the blood test for me and that I m a bit mad at her because she didn t ask for urine testing. Should I consider the situation safe? She has had oral/manual/and very very short vaginal sex. Greetings
Hello and welcome to HCM, The best protection against sexually transmitted infections is practising barrier methods for sexual activities. If you and your partner are free from all sexually transmitted infections at this time, it is safe to practise unprotected sex only if you both have one partner. You can have a urine test to ule out urinary tract infection. The urinary tract infections can affect the genital tract and vice versa.
